The Renault Kadjar is a compact SUV from the French car manufacturer Renault , which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2015 . The sales start in Europe is April to June 2015 and for China in spring 2016. At the Paris Motor Show in October 2018, a revised version of the Kadjar was presented.
A joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Corporation was entered into for sales in China in 2013 . A production capacity of 150,000 vehicles is to be created in a newly built plant near Wuhan .
Furnishing
The Kadjar is on a Renault-Nissan Alliance platform called Common Module Family (CMF for short), on which the Nissan Qashqai is also available. However, the kadjar is seven centimeters longer and four centimeters wider. The sideline and hood are built in a wave shape. Depending on the equipment, the model has full LED headlights and wheels up to 19 inches in size. The turning circle is 10.72 meters.
With the 2017 model year, vehicles ordered from March 1, 2017 will be equipped with an additional module for the R-Link 2 on board. This enables the use of additional services such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto , detached from the already existing TomTom Live navigation system for R-Link . With an additional USB connection, the content of the smartphone can be transferred to the 7 "inch touch screen . According to Renault, a technical retrofitting of the vehicles built before this time is not planned.
Engines
At the start of sales, the vehicle will be offered with a 1.2 liter petrol engine and two diesel engines with 1.5 liters, 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed dual clutch transmission, and 1.6 liter, only 6-speed manual transmission, displacement. The Kadjar is driven with front-wheel drive or variable all-wheel drive. With pure front-wheel drive, there is an advanced traction control called Extended Grip .
At the end of 2016, the Kadjar received the 120 kW (163 hp) 1.6-liter gasoline engine familiar from the Qashqai. This is initially only available with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission.
