The Renault Type DT was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 40 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on July 25, 1913. The predecessor was the Renault Type CG . The successor Renault Type ES followed in 1914 .

A water-cooled six - cylinder engine with a 100 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 31 hp from a displacement of 7540 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 67 km / h to 86 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

One source states that the vehicle was 521 cm long and 178 cm wide with a wheelbase of 392 cm and a track width of 147 cm.
