description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 19, 1911. The predecessor Renault Type AI was slightly shorter. Production ended in 1912. The successor was the Renault Type DQ .

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 130 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 40 to 45 hp from a displacement of 8495 cm³ . As with so many models from the 1911 model year, Renault had increased the stroke by 20 mm compared to the previous year's model. The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 68 km / h to 97 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 374.3 cm and a track width of 145 cm, the vehicle was 501 cm long and 176 cm wide. The turning circle was specified as 14 to 15 meters. The chassis weighed 1350 kg, the complete vehicle 2200 kg. The sedan body shape has been handed down. The chassis cost 18,000 francs

The Renault Type CI was based on this model, but was shorter.
