description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on April 11, 1922. As a variant of the Renault Type IR , it had neither a predecessor nor a successor.

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with a 110 mm bore and 160 mm stroke developed 140 hp from a 9123 cm³ displacement . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 70 km / h to 92 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

One source states that the vehicle was 488.3 cm long and 179.5 cm wide with a wheelbase of 380.2 cm and a track width of 150 cm. Another source names two chassis of different lengths with a wheelbase of 380 cm and 399 cm, which made for a vehicle length of 493 cm and 512 cm, respectively. The turning circle was given as 15 to 16 meters. The chassis weighed 1680 kg, the complete vehicle between 2350 kg and 2500 kg. Only a limousine has survived .

The chassis cost 48,000 francs in both lengths in 1922 .

In contrast to the early type IR , the vehicles had front wheel brakes.
