The Renault Type DG was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 12 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 16, 1913. The predecessor was the Renault Type CB . The successor Renault Type EF followed in 1914 .

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 130 mm produced 13 hp from a displacement of 2614 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 38 km / h to 64 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 306 cm and a track width of 134 cm, the vehicle was 431.5 cm long and 161.5 cm wide. A particularly low chassis with a 329.5 cm wheelbase enabled a vehicle length of 446 cm. Track gauge and vehicle width remained unchanged. The turning circle was given as 11 meters. The chassis weighed 800 kg. There was a choice of double phaeton , torpedo , limousine and coupé . The chassis cost between 8,500 and 10,500 francs .
