The Renault Type FI was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 40 CV .
description
This model was a further development of the Renault Type ES . It was in production from 1916 to 1918. The successor was the Renault Type HD .
A water-cooled six - cylinder engine with a 100 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 31 hp from a displacement of 7540 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 67 km / h to 86 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 374.3 cm and a track width of 150 cm, the vehicle was 503.5 cm long and 176 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 15 meters. The chassis weighed 1450 kg.
