The Renault Arkana ( lat.Arcanum ; means secret) is a five-seat crossover SUV from the French car manufacturer Renault , which came onto the market in May 2019 as a series vehicle based on the Renault Kaptur , which is exclusively offered in Russia .

Concept of the project

The concept vehicle was presented at the Moscow International Motor Show on August 29, 2018.

The series model will be built at Renault's Moscow plant and will mainly be intended for the Russian market and Asia.

Technical specifications

The 1.3-liter gasoline engine of the type M 282 110 provides kW (150 hp). It is equipped with a turbocharger , direct injection with a pressure of 250 bar and variable valve timing at the inlet and outlet. During the development process, engines were tested for 40,000 hours in the laboratory.
