The Renault Type O was an early racing car model from Renault . It was only available with a light, two-seater structure.

The model replaced the Renault Type K off. The national licensing authority granted its approval on May 18, 1903. The successor was the Renault Type O (b) .
A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 124 mm bore and 130 mm stroke produced 40 hp from a displacement of 6279 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 98 to 112 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
The chassis weighed 600 kg.

Marcel Renault used one of these vehicles in a car race from Paris to Madrid in 1903 and had a fatal accident.
