The Renault Type CI was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 35 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 19, 1911. It was a shorter version of the Renault Type CF and had neither a predecessor nor a successor. Production ended in 1912.
A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 130 mm bore and 160 mm stroke produced 40 to 45 hp from a displacement of 8495 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 70 km / h to 105 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 353.5 cm and a track width of 126 cm, the vehicle was 472 cm long and 155 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 12 meters. The chassis weighed 1200 kg. There was a choice of double phaeton and torpedo . The chassis cost 18,000 francs .
