description

A first report on this model can be found in La France Automobile on November 30, 1901. The presentation took place at the 4th Paris Motor Show , which took place in Paris from December 10 to 25, 1901 . The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 23, 1902. The model was the successor to the Renault Type D . The designer was Louis Renault . Production ended in early 1903. The successor was the Renault Type L , which was presented in December 1902.

A single cylinder engine from De Dion-Bouton with a 100 mm bore and 110 mm stroke produced 6 hp from a displacement of 864 cm³ . One source gives a 100 mm bore, 110 to 120 mm stroke, 864 to 939 cm³ displacement and 6 hp. Later versions of the B series developed 8 hp. The side-mounted water cooler had twelve cooling elements, more than on the previous model. The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was given as 31 km / h to 53 km / h.

With a wheelbase of 190 cm, the vehicle was 300 cm long, 145 cm wide and 150 cm high. The empty weight was 750 kg. There was a choice of two-seater Phaeton , double phaeton and tonneau , the latter and the like. a. from the body manufacturer Kellner & Cie .
