The Renault Type PZ was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 18/22 CV and from October 1927 18/24 CV .

The national licensing authority granted its approval on July 17, 1926. As a variant of the Renault Type PI , the model had neither a predecessor nor a successor. Production ended in 1928.

The water-cooled six-cylinder engine with 85 mm bore and 140 mm stroke had 4766 cc engine capacity . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 52 km / h to 70 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 368 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was either 499.6 cm long if the spare wheels were on the side of the bonnet, or 535 cm long if the spare wheels were mounted at the rear. The turning circle was given as 15 to 16 meters. The chassis weighed 1600 kg.

The chassis cost 70,000 francs . In October 1927 the price for a seven-seater touring car was 88,000 francs and a seven-seat Pullman limousine was 94,000 francs. In addition, a convertible has survived.

The difference to the similar type PI was the oil cooler and a different rear suspension.
