The Renault Type JS was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 18 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on November 10, 1921. The predecessor was the Renault Type IQ with a four-cylinder engine . In 1923 the successor Renault Type KD replaced the model.

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 80 mm bore and 140 mm stroke had a displacement of 4222 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 55 km / h to 77 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 356 cm and a track width of 150 cm, the vehicle was between 464.5 cm and 470 cm long and between 170 cm and 176 cm wide. In 1923 a chassis with a 375 cm wheelbase was also available. The turning circle was specified as 14 to 15 meters. The chassis weighed 1350 kg, the complete vehicle 1900 kg.
