The Renault Type ME was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 12 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on November 8, 1923. The predecessor was the Renault Type KR . Renault Type NE and Renault Type NO followed in 1924 . Nevertheless, the model remained in the range until 1926.
The water-cooled four-cylinder engine with 85 mm bore and 140 mm stroke had 3178 cc engine capacity . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 38 km / h to 58 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of either 319.5 cm or 338.8 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 419 cm or 438.3 cm long and 165.5 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 13 meters. The chassis weighed 1180 kg. The chassis cost 31,000 francs and a touring car 41,000 francs.
