The Renault Vivasix was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . The type code was Type PG .

description

Renault presented the vehicle at the end of 1927 as the successor to the Renault Type PG , from which it also adopted the type code. In the following year, the luxury version Renault Vivastella added to the range. Production ended in 1931.

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke had a displacement of 3181 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft .

Type PG 1

With a wheelbase of 326 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 450 cm long and 170 cm wide. There was a choice of touring cars , sedans with both a fixed body and a Weymann body , convertibles and faux convertibles , and a coupé . The radiator was placed behind the engine. On the front of the vehicle was a rhombus , the trademark of Renault. The front bumper consisted of two tubes.

Type PG 2

This version, which appeared at the end of 1928, can be recognized by the lack of storage compartments below the doors. The Vivastella luxury model was available for the first time. This had z. B. two windshield wipers , door pockets, chrome-plated hubcaps and a star on the front of the vehicle as a distinguishing feature of all Stella variants .

Type PG 3

This model appeared as a 1930 model in 1929. The radiator was now placed in front of the engine. The grille was arranged at a slight angle. There were still no ventilation slots on the sides of the bonnet. While the front track of 144 cm remained unchanged, the rear track was increased to 145.4 mm. The wheelbase of the five-seater bodies was 310.7 cm and that of the seven-seat bodies was 334.7 cm.

Type PG 4

Renault presented this model at the Paris Motor Show in October 1930 . There were vertical vents on the sides of the hood. The bodies were a little shorter than before. Limousine, Pullman limousine and touring car have been handed down, and according to another source, a coupé as well.

A touring car of this version from 1930 from the Aalholm Automobile Museum was auctioned on August 12, 2012 for 201,600 Danish kroner , the equivalent of around 27,000 euros .
