The Renault Type K was an early racing car model from Renault . It was only available with a light, two-seater structure.

description

This was the first Renault model with a four-cylinder engine . On June 23, 1902, the national licensing authority granted the license. Production ended in the same year. The Renault Type O was the successor.

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 100 to 110 mm bore and 100 to 130 mm stroke produced 20 to 30  hp from a displacement of 3143 to 4942 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified with up to 125 km / h.

The vehicle was 345 cm long and 150 cm wide with a wheelbase of 245 cm. The empty weight was 600 kg.
