description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on January 12, 1911. The previous Renault Type BX was a little shorter. Production ended in 1912. The Renault Type DJ became its successor.

A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 90 mm bore and 140 mm stroke produced 16 hp from a displacement of 3562 cm³ . As with so many models from 1911, Renault had increased the stroke by 20 mm compared to the previous year's model. The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 44 km / h to 71 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 339.6 cm or 340 cm and a track width of 145 cm, the vehicle was 465 cm or 467 cm long and 175 cm or 176 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 14 meters. The chassis weighed 1050 kg, the complete vehicle 1750 kg. There was a choice of double phaeton , torpedo and limousine . The chassis cost 12,000 francs .

Bonhams auctioned a 1912 touring car with a Brewster body for 44,881 on September 13, 2008 .
