The Renault Type BF was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 18 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on December 4, 1909. Charles Faroux had already reported on the model on November 27, 1909 in La Vie Automobile . It was the beginning of a series of Renault models with a slightly smaller six-cylinder engine than the top model Renault Type AR . The Renault Type CD replaced the 1910 model.

A water-cooled six - cylinder engine with a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 120 mm produced 14 to 18 hp from a displacement of 3619 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 46 km / h to 71 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 308 cm and a track width of 140 cm, the vehicle was 430 cm and 435 cm long and 168 cm and 170 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 14 meters. The chassis weighed 1000 kg, the complete vehicle 1750 kg. There was a choice of double phaeton , limousine and roadster . The chassis cost 14,500 francs in 1910.
