construction

The D-Truck series consists of four variants:

D-Truck Wide, driver's cab with a width of 2.30 meters

The largest area in distribution traffic is handled by the D-Truck Wide with a driver's cab that is 2.3 meters wide. This is basically a modernized driver's cab from Premium Distribution, the design of which is based on the Renault T-Truck . The power is delivered to the common rail - diesel engine DTI 8 with six cylinders, 7.7 liters and a power output PS 250-320, wherein the maximum torque is achieved at 900 revolutions per minute. The power is transmitted by an automated gearbox as standard and the engine complies with the Euro 6 emissions standard. In addition to the standard 4x2 drive formula, the D-Truck Wide is also available as a 6x2 and has a total vehicle weight of 18 to 26 tons. A short and a medium cab as well as a long-haul cab with and without a high roof are available for this truck.

The driver's cab with a width of 2.10 meters is specially designed for city and local traffic and replaces the variants of the Renault Midlum . Available with 4x2 or 4x4 drive formula, here comes the common rail injection diesel engine DTI 5 with four cylinders, 5.7 liter displacement and 210 or 230 hp, also with maximum torque already at 900 revolutions per minute and in accordance with Euro 6 emissions standard, used. The DTI 8 is also available with 250 or 280 hp. Here, too, the power is transmitted by means of a standard automated gearbox. The total weight ranges from 10 to 18 tons. There are three different cabs available: a short and a long cab and a double cab.

Below the distribution range with a gross vehicle weight of 10 to 26 tons, Renault Trucks also has a small distribution truck with a gross vehicle weight of 6.5 to 7.5 tons. This is based on the Nissan NT500 and, like this one, will be produced by Nissan Motor Ibérica in Spain from autumn 2013 .
