The cab- -Verteiler- trucks Nissan NT500 is the successor to the mid 2013 Nissan Atleon of Nissan Motor Ibérica produces. On May 29, 2013, Nissan first presented the NT500 in a press release. For cooperation partner Renault , Nissan is building a badge engineering model of the NT500 as a Renault D-Truck , which replaces the lightest weight class of the Renault Midlum and has been available since 2014. After May 2017 the distribution was stopped at least in Germany.

The model will be available with five different wheelbases between 2800 mm and 4300 and gross weights of 3.5, 5.6, 6.5 and 7.5 tons. There is a choice of four wheelbases for the 7.5-ton variant: 3100, 3500, 3900 and 4300 mm; the engine output is also higher as standard. As a standard engine, the Nissan ZD30 diesel engine has an output of 110 kW (150 hp) and the maximum torque is 350 Nm. The engine has a displacement of 3.0 liters, common rail injection and a turbocharger . For the 7.5-tonner and as an option for the other variants, this engine with twin (twin) turbochargers has an output of 130 kW (176 hp) and a maximum torque of 540 Nm. In both variants, the motor stops with SCR - catalyst and diesel particulate filter , the Euro 6 emissions standard , and the maintenance intervals are 40000 km or 2 years. The power transmission to the rear axle, which is equipped with double tires, is always carried out with a 6-speed manual transmission , an automated manual transmission is also available as an option. Like its predecessor, the NT500 also has a tilting driver's cab . In addition to numerous storage options, door pockets and three glove compartments, the vehicle also has keyless entry , a sprung driver's seat, DIN radio with CD player, USB / AUX connection and operation via steering wheel buttons. The middle equipment also includes cruise control , speed limiter and automatic air conditioning , while the top versions have a navigation system and a passenger airbag .
