Visually, the first note was based on the Nissan Micra (K12) , with which it also shared the gasoline engines. The Note was built on the same platform as the 29 cm shorter Renault Modus , and the diesel engines were also from Renault. The Note E11 was produced in the English plant of Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. manufactured at Washington .

Furnishing

In Germany, the Note was offered in the equipment variants Visia, Acenta and Tekna. ABS , driver, front passenger and side airbags as well as central locking and an electronic immobilizer were also part of the standard equipment on all models, as were power steering, power windows at the front and a rear seat that could be folded down in a 60:40 ratio.

Tail lights that extend far into the roof characterize the rear view.

The so-called friendly lighting system, depending on the pre-setting, resulted in the headlights remaining on for up to two minutes after the vehicle was locked. In this way, for example, the path to the front door can be illuminated in the dark. The Acenta equipment also included a CD radio, air conditioning, an on-board computer, a multifunction steering wheel and power windows at the rear as well as fog lights as standard. In addition, the so-called family package was included, consisting of a driver's seat armrest, a rear center armrest, a compartment under the front passenger seat, a double floor in the trunk, and folding tables and pockets on the front seat backrests. The exterior mirrors were electrically adjustable and heated, and the driver's seat was continuously height-adjustable. An automatic transmission was available as additional equipment in conjunction with the 1.6-liter petrol engine . An ESP was standard in this engine variant, and optionally available in conjunction with all other engines. The most extensive equipment called Tekna also included automatic air conditioning , a light and rain sensor, aluminum-look pedals, a six-disc CD changer, ESP, head airbags at the front and rear and electrically folding exterior mirrors.

Model maintenance

In autumn 2007 the note was visually revised slightly and now had a full paintwork and a rear antenna; Also new were the exterior paint finishes Emotion Red and Urban Silver and a new upholstery fabric for the Acenta version. In addition, all versions now have a Bluetooth interface.

For the 2009 model year, the Note underwent an extensive facelift , presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 2008 and introduced in January 2009.

As part of this, the headlights and the lower air intake were enlarged and the radiator grille redesigned. In addition, the front bumper and the recesses for the fog lights have been redesigned. The bumper strips were also modified, they were now narrower, but still painted in body color. The taillights were colored darker, there were also new alloy wheels and exterior paintwork.

There were also new colors and fabrics in the interior, and the instrument panel and information display were modified. The basic prices were increased slightly, the equipment now included head airbags at the front and rear as standard, as well as active headrests for the front seats. The navigation, communication and audio system with touchscreen, CD player, AUX and USB connection, called Nissan Connect , was a new option. In terms of technology, the chassis, in particular, has been retuned, which should now be more comfortable and at the same time more agile. A 1.5-liter diesel engine with CO 2 emissions reduced to 119 g / km was offered as the new engine . Starting in November 2009, the same reduced CO 2 emissions of the 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a modified transmission ratio by 11 g / km to 139 g / km CO 2 . From 2009 both engines were marked with the new additional designation Pure Drive , which is also used for all other Nissan models with CO 2 emissions below 140 g / km. Similar to the Opel ecoFlex models, customers should be made aware of the most economical Nissan models in this way.

For the note with a 1.4 liter engine, Nissan received the Auto Environment Certificate from the independent institute for environmental research Ökotrend for the first time. The vehicle finished very well in all seven categories . In addition to the low fuel consumption and the large interior space, the environmentally friendly production methods were also praised (according to a report by the Institute for Environmental Research).

In contrast to its predecessor, the second note is now offered worldwide. In addition to Japan, where it is produced at the Nissan Kyūshū plant, production started in 2013 at the Nissan Aguascalientes plant in Mexico for South America and as the Nissan Versa Note for North America as the successor to the Nissan Versa hatchback.

All engines have a start-stop system as standard .

In November 2016, Nissan presented the “e-Power”, a version with hybrid drive, in Japan . A Nismo variant with 103 kW (140 PS) is also available there.
