Series 1
The first series was produced from 1996 to the end of 1998. The basic engine was a 2-liter RB engine (RB20DE) with 130 hp. There were also other engines, the 2.5 liter six-cylinder (RB25DE) with 190 hp and the same turbo-charged (RB25DET) with 230 hp. The vehicle was available with rear-wheel drive (2WD) and all-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive (4WD) was the same as on the Skyline GT-R . The Series 1 was available with an automatic shift and a manual transmission. As a special model, there was also the Stagea with Skyline GTR technology. The RB26 twin-turbo engine with manual transmission was limited in production by Autech. The Stagea special model got a body kit and was called 260RS.
Series 2 (Facelift)
Series 2 (late 1998 to 2001) was basically the same vehicle as Series 1. The front lights were slightly modified (fog lights in the radiator grille).
Versions
Autech Japan produced special versions of the first two series. These were equipped with the RB26DETT engine (2.6 liters, turbocharger), the all-wheel drive of the Skyline GT-R and a manual gearshift with five gears. The strength of the body has also been increased. These vehicles (Series 2: Stagea 260RS Autech Version) were rare and correspondingly high in price.
