The 2.3-liter is coupled with a four-speed automatic, the 3.5-liter with a continuously variable CVT automatic and the four-cylinder version, which has all-wheel drive as standard, with a five-speed automatic.
In the People's Republic of China, the Dongfeng Motor Company, in which Nissan holds shares, produced the Teana. The Teana-based Samsung SM5 and SM7 are available in Korea and Chile . In addition, there has been the Renault Safrane II in the Gulf States since 2008 , which is based on the Teana and shares the design with it. In some Asian countries the model was still marketed as the Nissan Cefiro . It was not until the generation change that the model name was changed to Teana in these markets.
