The Nismo 270R (R short for Racing) is a limited edition of 50 and modified special model of the Nissan 200SX S14 by Nissan Motorsports International (NISMO, Nis san Mo torsport).

Model description

The SR20DET engine of the S14 was equipped with Nismo camshafts, a larger charge air cooler and a new manifold. Finally the engine electronics were changed. The output was increased to 199 kW (270 hp) at 6000 rpm and the maximum torque to 344 Nm at 4800 rpm. The cars are painted black and have a white "Nismo 270R" lettering on both sides. The body was provided with a Nismo Edge Aero kit. A new bonnet with a large air inlet in the middle had to be fitted to cool the sophisticated engine. Because of the higher performance, a stronger drive shaft and clutch were installed. Furthermore, the viscose limited slip differential was replaced by a mechanical limited slip differential from Nismo in order to improve handling. The chassis (springs, shock absorbers, suspension, threaded bushing) was replaced, and the brake discs were replaced with perforated ones. Thus, the power corresponds to the chassis, the brakes and thanks to the new drive shaft and the improved limited-slip differential can be easily transferred to the road.
