Nissan Actic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nissan Actic was a concept vehicle and design study by Nissan , which the company had created by its Design America department in La Jolla (NAIAS) and showed at the 2004 North American International Auto Show . The car was a soft roader with soft, projectile-like body shapes that resembled a small Nissan Murano .

Series production was never planned, but the car served to present possible future technologies and design directions for Nissan vehicles. They also wanted to test buyers' interest in a small entry-level SUV . The most interesting details include sliding doors instead of the usual drop down doors. The rear doors slide to the rear and the front doors to the front, similar to lift doors, and thus allow a large entry opening.
