The Nissan Pixo (type D31S) is a four-seater small car with a gasoline engine produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan . The five-door vehicle was available on the German market from June 20, 2009. Production ended in October 2013.
The car was built together with the identical Suzuki Alto in India by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and with a base price of 8,290 euros (7,999 euros acquisition price in 2009) was one of the cheapest offers in its class.
The Pixo complies with the Euro 5 emissions standard that came into force on September 1, 2009 . It is also approved for trailer operation (braked 200 kg / unbraked 100 kg)

Furnishing
The basic Visia model has electric power steering , an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution (EBD, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution ) and brake assist , front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, four airbags, manually adjustable mirrors, a height-adjustable steering column and Isofix child seat brackets on the rear seats . The car is only available in red at no extra charge.
The Pixo Acenta has central locking with radio remote control, fog lights, power windows at the front, mechanical remote trunk unlocking on the driver's seat, CD radio with two loudspeakers and a split rear seat backrest. Only the Acenta is also available with the 4-stage automatic.
For the basic Visia model, only one of the five metallic paint finishes is available as an ex works option. The more expensive Acenta model can be equipped with the safety package ( electronic stability program and front head airbags) and a manual air conditioning system with pollen filter for an additional charge . Other extras, such as alloy wheels or parking aids, must be installed as accessories by the dealer.
Registration numbers
Between 2009 and 2013, a total of 14,727 Pixo were newly registered in Germany.
