The Nissan Roox is a four-seater minivan from the car manufacturer Nissan , which was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009 and went on sale exclusively in Japan in December of the same year. He is an adapted version of the Nissan by Suzuki developed and in 2008 put on the market Suzuki range and therefore shares with him the technical basis. The name of the Roox was derived from the English terms "room" and "max" and is intended to illustrate the large interior space for this vehicle class.
In 2013 the vehicle was replaced by the Nissan Dayz Roox .
Furnishing
Basically the Roox has two sliding side doors, retractable rear seats, a glove compartment with cooling function and a keyless go system . Double airbags at the front are on board in all versions and side airbags are only missing as standard in the smallest equipment line.
The Roox is available in the equipment variants E , G , Highway Star and Highway Star Turbo . The Highway Star versions differ outwardly through a changed look, which is based on the version of the same name of the Serena and Elgrand . The interior is beige as standard, only in the Highway Star it is black. From version G , depending on the equipment, one or two sliding doors also have an electric drive.
Engines
The Roox is equipped with a three-cylinder - petrol engine with 0.7 liters cubic capacity available, which as suction and turbo version is offered, with the supercharged variant the Highway Star Turbo is reserved. A CVT transmission is used for power transmission . In addition to the standard front-wheel drive, an optional all-wheel drive is available for all model variants.
