The Nissan Juke is a sport utility vehicle from the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan . He has been working in the UK plant of Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd. since 2010 . built near Washington on a platform of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The market launch in Germany took place on October 9, 2010. The second generation was presented on September 3, 2019. It should come onto the market at the end of 2019.

At the Geneva Motor Show 2009 a near-series study of the Juke was presented as the Nissan Qazana . The production version was introduced in October 2010.

Since October 2014, a modification of the Nissan Juke has been offered in China as the Infiniti ESQ .

From the beginning of 2013 there was the Nissan Juke Nismo , which developed 147 kW (200 PS) and 250 Nm with a more powerful 1.6-liter turbo engine. The front-wheel drive version of the Juke Nismo accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 215 km / h. The all-wheel drive version, which is also available, takes 8.2 seconds and runs at exactly 200 km / h.

The facelift was presented at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show; since then a large sliding glass roof has been available. Around 500,000 Juke had been sold worldwide by November 2014. The most powerful version of the Nissan Juke to date was presented at the end of 2014: the Juke Nismo RS with a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine now has 160 kW (218 hp) and 280 Nm. The diameter of its front brake discs is 320 mm. The sales launch of the Nismo RS took place on January 17, 2015 at prices from 28,200 euros.

There were also special models such as 3,000 copies from the Ministry of Sound in 2012 .

Around one million jukes had been sold worldwide by mid-October 2019.

The second generation of the Juke was presented in early September 2019. Now based CMF-B platform on the Renault-Nissan, with the Renault Clio V was introduced. The Renault Captur II presented in summer 2019 also uses them. Since September 12, 2019, the SUV can be ordered at prices starting at 18,990 euros. Compared to the previous model, the new Juke has become larger; the wheelbase grew by ten centimeters. The weight could be reduced by 23 kg.

Initially, the vehicle is powered exclusively by a one-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with 86 kW (117 hp) via the front wheels. This turbocharged drive made its debut in early 2019 in the fifth generation of the Micra . The SUV has a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, a 7-speed dual clutch transmission is available at an additional cost .

Registration numbers

In the first full sales year 2011, 10,593 Juke were newly registered in the Federal Republic. Since then, the number of registrations has been falling. A total of 71,256 vehicles were registered in Germany by December 2019.
