The Infiniti QX50 (until mid-2013 Infiniti EX ) is a compact SUV from Infiniti . In Japan the model is marketed as the Nissan Skyline Crossover .

The first-generation QX50 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 220 kW (300 hp). This was also used in the Infiniti G37 and was named one of the ten best engines in Ward's Auto World's “10 Best List” . A 3.7-liter V6 petrol engine with 235 kW (320 hp) was used in the European model offered from 2009 . In Germany there were a total of 38 new registrations for the model in 2010.
In spring 2010, the Infiniti QX50 with a new 3.0 liter V6 (V9X) diesel engine was also presented at the Geneva Motor Show . In Europe this engine developed 175 kW (240 PS) and the power was transmitted through a 7-speed automatic transmission.
After Infiniti decided to rename its model series, the Infiniti EX was marketed as the Infiniti QX50 from summer 2013.
At the New York International Auto Show in April 2015, Infiniti presented a revised version of the QX50.
In June 2016, Infiniti initially took the QX50 off the market in Germany.

Concept vehicles
The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration Concept study , which was presented at the Beijing Motor Show in April 2016, provided a first look at the successor to the first generation. A near-series study for the second generation showed Infiniti at the North American International Auto Show in January 2017 in Detroit with the Infiniti QX50 Concept .
Production vehicle
The production vehicle was finally presented at the LA Auto Show in November 2017. It is being built in Aguascalientes, Mexico . It has been on sale in the United States since early 2018.
The new QX50 is powered by a 200 kW (272 PS) two-liter gasoline engine. This has a variable compression that varies between 8: 1 and 14: 1. The cylinder stroke also changes by up to six millimeters, which means that the displacement changes between 1970 and 1997 cm³. The second generation is the first production vehicle in the world to use this technology.
