The Infiniti Essence is a concept car , the Infiniti produced to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of Infiniti. With the Essence, Infiniti wanted to demonstrate its technological competence. The public has the sports car with hybrid drive for the first time in 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show presented. The design was developed by Infinitis Design Director Takashi Nakajima. Series production was not planned, but elements from the car were to be built into later Infiniti models.
technology
The hybrid drive consists of a 3.7 liter 24 valve DOHC twin turbocharger V6 gasoline engine with 320 kW (440 hp) and a 3D electric motor with 120 kW, which achieves a total output of 440 kW (600 hp) . The electric motor is powered by a lithium-ion accumulator .
Furnishing
A three-part Louis Vuitton luggage set fits into the trunk, which automatically extends the floor when the trunk is opened so that the set can be stowed away or removed.
The Infiniti Essence also contains safety features to avoid side and rear collisions - called Side Collision Prevention (SCP) and Back-up Collision Prevention (BCP). Here, sensors on the sides and rear detect the driver in the event of a possible collision and trigger braking if he does not react.
