Infiniti Q45
The Infiniti Q45 is a luxury sedan made by the Japanese car manufacturer Infiniti and offered in three generations in North America from 1989 to 2006 .
All models had a 4.5-liter V8 engine and rear-wheel drive as standard. Optionally available with all-wheel drive and active steering (High Capacity Actively Controlled Steering - HICAS).
In 1991 a hydraulic, computer-assisted active chassis was introduced: Full-Active Suspension (similar to Active Body Control ).
The first generation (G50 series, 1989 to 1996) was based on the then Nissan President with a shortened wheelbase, the second (FYG33 series, 1996 to 2001) was based on the Nissan Cima and the third (F50 series, 2001 to 2006) was based on its successor .
In 2013, Infiniti took up the model name again with the Q50 . However, as the successor to the G37, the Q50 is significantly shorter than the earlier Q45.
