The first generation of the moco, which appeared in 2001, was available in four different versions:

  • moco-B
  • moco-C
  • moco-Q
  • moco-T

As with the order of the letters in the alphabet, one can guess the equipment from this. The moco-B was the cheapest and the Spartan, while the moco-T was the best equipped of this generation. Prices ranged from 円 1,000,000 to 円 1,800,000. Although the moco was officially only sold in Japan, many units were also exported to Indonesia and the Philippines. The moco-B was canceled after a few months of production, so only the C, Q and T versions remained.

The second generation hasn't changed. The same technology and the same interior fittings. Only a new body provided a refresh. Another change was the spelling: where the first generation was in lower case and the version was appended after a hyphen, the current model is in capital letters. However, the attached version is omitted here. This is no longer visible on the body.

Since February 2008 the MOCO has been available with the “keyless entry and start system” as standard; a start button that makes the key superfluous.
