The vehicle went on sale in other Latin American markets at the end of 2016. The Kicks is produced in Aguascalientes , Mexico . Since the tariff rate for an imported new car in Brazil can be up to 120 percent, Nissan has also been building the Kicks in Resende since April 2017 .
The SUV in Brazil is powered by an 84 kW (114 hp) 1.6-liter gasoline engine that can also run on ethanol .
The Kicks has also been sold in China since mid-2017 . Here a 91 kW (124 PS) 1.5-liter gasoline engine takes over the drive. It is built there by the Dongfeng Motor Company . At the end of 2018, Venucia launched the T60, a compact SUV based on the Kick, on the Chinese market.
Since January 2019 the Kicks has been built and sold in India (in the Nissan - Renault factory in Chennai ). The Indian version is 9 cm longer and 3 cm wider than other versions. Nissan is one of the main sponsors of the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England, this will be used for marketing in India.
