The Nissan Pao is a model of the Japanese automobile brand Nissan , which was designed on the basis of the Nissan Be-1 and built on the same platform as the Nissan March or Nissan Micra ( PK10G ). The consistent retro design is striking . The presentation as a study took place in 1987 at the auto show in Tokyo, production started in January 1989. By 1991 about 10,000 Pao were built. You could buy it for about 10,000 USD . The Pao was officially only sold in Japan. The Nissan Figaro and the Nissan S-Cargo followed a similar concept .

The Pao was powered by a four-cylinder engine with 52 HP (38 kW) and a displacement of 988 cm³, the drive power of which was transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed gearbox. The top speed was around 140 km / h.
Furnishing
The Pao had a foldable rear bench seat. Other extras included a radio and the standard power steering . The four paint finishes available were striking: terracotta, ivory (gold), olive gray and water blue.
