The Nissan Trade was a pickup truck manufactured by Nissan Motor Ibérica in Spain from 1987 to 2004 . In Germany it was offered between 1993 and 2001.
history
Nissan acquired a stake in the Spanish car manufacturer Ebro in 1979 . After the complete takeover by Nissan in 1987, the models produced as Ebro were incorporated under new names under the Nissan brand. The Nissan Trade represented the successor to the Ebro F series , which was originally a license for the Alfa Romeo Romeo , which had been produced since 1954 .
Models
The trade was available as a chassis, flatbed, double flatbed with long wheelbase, minibus, panel van and minibus / panel van with long wheelbase and high roof. The high-roof box car had a ladder flap as a special feature. Due to the outdated technology (no airbag , no ABS , short service intervals), the trade was not very popular on the German market. The trade was offered in Germany in 1993 with a 2.8 L naturally aspirated diesel with 63 kW (86 PS). In 1995, a 3.0 liter four-cylinder turbodiesel with direct injection , charge air cooling and 78 kW (106) PS that came from the Nissan Patrol followed . In 1997 it was followed by a 2.5 l turbodiesel direct injection engine with 55 kW (75 hp).
In 2001 the production and sale of the panel van, minibus and double platform versions was ended. Chassis and single platform were manufactured until 2004, but only offered in Spain. Overall, the original model, the Alfa Romeo Romeo, technically and optically revised again and again, was built for 50 years. The successor to the trade was the Nissan Interstar in 2002 .
