The Nissan Livina (骏 逸[Jun Yi] in Chinese ) is a van that Nissan and its Chinese offshoot, the Dongfeng Motor Company, presented on July 6, 2006 at the Guangzhou International Motor Show and which went into series production in December 2006 .

2007 Nissan Grand Livina 1.8

The first generation was presented on July 6, 2006 at the Guangzhou International Motor Show and went into series production in December 2006. The five-seater is sold as Nissan Livina , the seven-seater as Nissan Geniss or Nissan Grand Livina .

It is powered by a 1.8-liter R4, type MR18DE, and according to Nissan, it will be the first in a line of new vehicles to be launched worldwide and the first Nissan vehicle to be unveiled in China. The five-seater is shorter than the seven-seater. In addition to the 1.8-liter engine, there is also a 1.6-liter R4 ( also 1.5-liter R4 in Indonesia ). The motorization is similar to that of the Tiida / Latio .

In 2007 the car was introduced in Indonesia, but initially only as a seven-seater under the name Nissan Grand Livina . The five-seater followed later as the Nissan Livina . In December 2007, the vehicle appeared in Malaysia as a seven-seater with a 1.6 or 1.8 liter engine.

In January 2008, sales of the Livina and Grand Livina began in South Africa. Only the variant with a 1.6-liter engine and five-speed manual transmission is sold there.

In July 2008 the Grand Livina was introduced in the Philippines . It has either a manual six-speed gearbox or a four-speed automatic.

In addition, the Livina X-Gear version was introduced in September 2008 . This presents itself as a crossover with unpainted plastic attachments, but is technically unchanged. In Malaysia this version is sold as X-Gear , in China the name Livina C-Gear is used.

The third generation of the van has been built in Indonesia since 2019. It is a variant of the Mitsubishi Xpander, which has been built since 2017, and sold using badge engineering .
