The Nissan / Datsun Cedric is a rear-wheel drive model of the upper middle class produced by the Japanese car manufacturer Nissan from 1960 to 2004 .

The Cedric was launched by Nissan as a competitor to the Prince models Skyline and Gloria ; After Prince came into Nissan ownership in 1967, all three models were built in parallel for decades, although they later shared the platform. Since the 1980s, Cedric and Gloria have become more and more similar and mostly differed only in details such as the radiator grille, rear lights and model graduation. In October 2004 Cedric / Gloria were replaced by the Nissan Fuga ; An inexpensive Cedric model for fleet customers based on the Y31 model generation from the late 1980s is still on offer. Neither Cedric nor Gloria were sold in Germany.

In Taiwan, the model series of the Cedric was launched in 1964 by the Yulon Motor Company . For this market the model series was named Yue Loong Victory and remained in production until 1987. The model series was then replaced by the Yue Loong Feeling type YLN-102, which was not very successful .
