The Datsun 17 was a motor vehicle produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Datsun and was introduced in April 1938. It was the last model in the small car line, as car production was largely stopped due to the war.

The Datsun 17 was little more than a face-lifted version of the previous Datsun 16 , the few changes took into account the shortage of materials and resulted in an even more sparse interior design. At the end of 1938 the last copies of the Datsun 17 were produced while the Datsun 17 Truck continued to be produced until 1944.
