The Datsun 11 was the first car to bear the name of the company, whose history dates back to 1912. The Datsun 11 was essentially a facelift model of its predecessor, the Datson 10 . The most significant changes were the radiator grille, which now had a chrome frame, and the redesigned Datsun logo. In addition, it now had vertical slots on the bonnet compared to horizontal slots on the Datsun 10. The engine with 495 cm³ and 10 hp remained the same. However, in addition to the four-seater sedan and the van called a van, a convertible, roadster and coupé were now also available. As early as 1933, the Datsun 12 replaced it after a total of 150 units had been built . However, the van continued to be produced until 1934.
