The Nissan Figaro is a small convertible sedan presented at the Tokyo Motor Show '89 in a retro design on the platform of the Micra , reminiscent of vehicles from the 1950s such as the Gutbrod Superior . The manufacturer was Nissan in Japan .

history

Based on the seasons, there were four colors to choose from: a mint green called Emerald Green for spring, pastel blue Pale Aqua for summer, Topaz Mist for autumn and Lapis Gray for winter. A matching car radio in a retro design was manufactured by Clarion . In 1991 Nissan only produced a limited edition of 20,000 copies, the buyers of which were partly determined by lottery due to high demand . The Figaro was built exclusively with right-hand drive . Left-hand drive vehicles never existed. These were subsequently rebuilt and therefore do not correspond to the original as it was delivered in Japan. The new price in Japan was 1.8 million yen (the equivalent of almost 23,000 DM). The Nissan Pao and Nissan S-Cargo , which were also derived from the Micra, were designed in a similar way to the Figaro .
