The Mitsubishi 380 is an upper mid-range car model manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd (MMAL). The vehicle introduced in 2005 is the successor to the Mitsubishi Magna / Verada models produced since 1985. Like this one, it is based on the Japanese Mitsubishi Galant .

The company invested over A $ 600 million to develop the vehicle and put it into production in Tonsley Park, Australia.

The Mitsubishi 380 continues MMAL's tradition of producing front-wheel drive sedans for the Australian market that compete against rear-wheel drive sedans such as the Ford Falcon and the Holden Commodore .

In March 2008, the Australian Mitsubishi plant was closed and production of the 380 ended; Sales of the 380 were consistently disappointing. 16,017 units were sold in 2005, 13,065 units in 2006, and 10,948 units in 2007.
