The Mitsubishi PX33 is an open touring car from Mitsubishi Motors . It was developed as a military vehicle on behalf of the Japanese government and presented for the first time in late autumn 1933 on an off-road trail that was apparently impregnable for automobiles. A total of four prototypes were created.
The Japanese premiere of the first all-wheel drive hides under the body of the car . The high-torque six-cylinder unit had a displacement of 4390 cm³ and developed 51 kW (70 hp); the drive train permanently distributed the power to all four wheels. A diesel engine was also planned, but the whole project was stopped by the government while it was still in development.
