The Mitsubishi Grandis is a van for the Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors built from summer 2003 to mid-2011 .
In addition to the four-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.4 liters and 121 kW, Mitsubishi also offered the Grandis with a 2.0-liter diesel engine from the Volkswagen Group (a diesel particle filter was available for an extra charge). Combined consumption is 6.6 liters and CO 2 emissions are 176 g / km. The petrol engine was also optionally available with a four- speed automatic transmission .
The Grandis had extensive safety equipment - u. a. with airbags for driver and front passenger, head airbags for the first and second row of seats, ESP , brake assist, electronic brake force distribution and Isofix attachments for child seats.
The Grandis was offered in Germany in the Invite and Intense equipment lines. The Invite variant had seven seats (three instead of two in the middle row). The Intense variant was available in 2 versions, a 7-seater and a 6-seater, this basically had six individual seats and both versions of the Intense had additional comfort features, e.g. a. with a separate, rear automatic climate control.
The Grandis was no longer offered in Germany from summer 2010, and sales in Austria were also discontinued a short time later. In mid-2011, sales ended worldwide without a successor.
