Midlum Phase 1 2000-2006

The Renault Midlum is a medium-duty distribution truck from Renault Trucks that was available in a flatbed and chassis . Renault Trucks produced the model from 2000 at the Blainville-sur-Orne plant and from 2002 at the Nordex SA plant near Montevideo. In Oceania , Renault partner Mack Trucks sold it as the Mack Midlum . The series was replaced by the Renault D-Truck .

The Midlum was available with 18 different wheelbases and different cab variants, one of which had a double cab. The maximum payload was 13 tons.

In 2006 the Midlum was revised (phase 2) and now had diesel engines with an output of 118 to 227 kW. In addition to vehicles with the 4 × 2 and 4 × 4 drive formulas, a 6 × 2 variant was also built on special request, which allowed a total weight of 26 tons.

The Electrique Midlum had a total weight of 16 tons and a payload of 5.5 tons. The electric motor produced 103 kW and had a range of 100 kilometers. The charging time was eight hours. The model was the first truck of this size in the world to be powered by an electric motor.
