The Renault Type II was a passenger car model of the interwar period of Renault . It was also called 10 CV .
description
The national licensing authority granted its approval on June 1, 1921. The predecessor was the Renault Type IG . Production ended in 1923. The successor was the Renault Type KZ .
The water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke had a displacement of 2121 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 47 km / h to 56 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
With a wheelbase of 280.8 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 370.8 cm long and 164 cm wide. These are the same dimensions as for the predecessor, which according to a source should have been between 5 cm and 20 cm shorter. The turning circle was given as 15 meters. The chassis weighed 670 kg, the complete vehicle 1300 kg. The choices were torpedo , limousine , landaulet , convertible , panel van and pick-up .
In contrast to the similar Renault Type IM , this model had left-hand drive.
H&H Auctions offered a yellow torpedo with the British registration number TW 8574 from 1922 at auction on April 24, 2014 , expected a price of 15,000 to 17,000 pounds , fetched only 10,500 pounds and did not sell the vehicle.
The next attempt to auction the vehicle was on June 21, 2014, this time with a desired price of £ 12,000 to £ 14,000.
