description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on March 14, 1922. As a sporty variant of the Renault Type JM , the model had neither a predecessor nor a successor.

The water-cooled four - cylinder engine with 80 mm bore and 140 mm stroke had a displacement of 2815 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 44 km / h to 60 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of either 319.5 cm or 338.8 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 419 cm or 438.3 cm long and 165.5 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 11 meters. The chassis weighed 1150 kg, the complete vehicle 1600 kg. The choices were torpedo and limousine .

Initially, the chassis cost 25,000 francs , a torpedo 30,000 francs, a coupé (probably a coupé-sedan) 35,000 francs and a sedan 36,000 francs. In October 1922 the price of a torpedo was 35,000 francs.

The radiator was located behind the engine. Initially, this model - like all Renault models for around 20 years - had a narrow bonnet with the radiator protruding from the side. This model was also available in the new version, where the bonnet and radiator were the same width and height.
