description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on June 16, 1924. The predecessor was the Renault Type MT , although it was produced in parallel for some time. In 1925 a facelift led to the type NO 1 . The successor Renault Type PG followed in 1926 .

The water-cooled four-cylinder engine with 85 mm bore and 140 mm stroke had 3178 cc engine capacity . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 47 km / h to 59 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 338 cm and a track width of 144 cm, the vehicle was 440 cm long and 165.5 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 13 meters. The chassis weighed 1080 kg. The choice was between touring car and Pullman limousine .

The touring car initially cost 36,000 francs and the following year 38,500 francs. Prices of 40,200 and 42,500 francs have been recorded for the sedan.

The facelift in 1926 brought round front fenders , just like the luxury version Renault Type NE , but kept the round emblem on the front. The Renault Type NS was a variant with a lower chassis.
