description

Renault presented the first version of this model at the Paris Motor Show in October 1931 . The model was a variant of the Renault Vivastella Type PG 5. Production ended in 1933 without a successor.

The water-cooled six - cylinder engine with 75 mm bore and 120 mm stroke had a displacement of 3181 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The radiator was placed in front of the engine.

Type PG 6

At first there were vertical ventilation slots in the sides of the bonnet, which were replaced by ventilation flaps as part of the model update. The front bumper consisted of two tubes. The wheelbase measured 289.3 cm. The vehicles were 414 cm long and 174 cm wide. There was a choice of two- and four-door sedans , coupes , roadsters and convertibles .

Type PG 8

This execution followed in October 1932. The engine output was specified with 65 hp . There were four equally sized ventilation flaps in the sides of the bonnet. The front bumper was one piece and straight. Two and four-door sedans, convertibles and roadsters were offered. At the beginning of 1933, the SA version with a different engine mount added to the range.

Type PG 10

This version from October 1933 can be recognized by the four unequal-sized ventilation flaps in the sides of the bonnet and the bumper that is bent down in the middle. The same body versions as before have survived. With a wheelbase of 295 cm, the vehicles were 425 cm long and 180 cm wide.
