Marketing began on October 15, 1935 under the name Renault Celtaquatre Standard . The short form Celtastandard was not used until December 1935 . In 1937 production ended without a successor.

The water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 70 mm bore and 95 mm stroke developed 32 hp from a displacement of 1462 cm³ . The rear wheels were driven by a cardan shaft .

With a wheelbase of 271 cm and a track width of 130 cm, the vehicle was 405 cm long and 157 cm wide. The only body shape was a four-door sedan with five seats.
