The Renault Type AE was an early racing car model from Renault . It led to the Renault Type AF . Both were only available with a lightweight, two-seater structure.

Renault manufactured this model in 1905 as the successor to the Renault Type O (b) . The national approval authority granted approval for the Type AF on June 10, 1905 . A total of four copies were made. The successor was the Renault Type AK .
A water-cooled four - cylinder engine with a 166 mm bore and 150 mm stroke produced 80 to 90 hp from a displacement of 12,985 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The top speed was specified as 103 to 129 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.
The dimensions are not recorded. The empty weight was 1000 kg.
