The Renault Type EK was an early passenger car model from Renault . It was also called 9 CV .

description

The national licensing authority granted its approval on December 18, 1913. The predecessor was the Renault Type AX . Production ended in 1917. The Renault Type FD took on its role as the smallest Renault model in 1919.

A water-cooled two - cylinder engine with a bore of 80 mm and a stroke of 120 mm produced 7 hp from a displacement of 1206 cm³ . The engine power was sent to the rear axle via a cardan shaft . The maximum speed was specified as 45 km / h to 56 km / h, depending on the gear ratio.

With a wheelbase of 237 cm and a track width of 115 cm, the vehicle was 331 cm long and 133.6 cm wide. The turning circle was given as 10 to 12 meters. The chassis weighed 500 kg, the complete vehicle 950 kg.

The factory offered two-seater Phaeton and Torpedo . The chassis cost 4200 francs , the Phaeton 4600 francs and the torpedo 4900 francs. In addition, the double phaeton , roadster , coupé and panel van have survived.
